At the base of the deep mountain ranges between Timpanogos and Cascade lies Provo, Utah where I call home! This is where I’ve put boot to dirt for years chasing some of the West’s most elusive and greatest small and big game species from turkeys to mule deer and elk. For a great part of my life the rifle deer hunt was the coveted week of the year where I spent time with my older brothers and father to hear stories of the good ol’ days and that freak muley that gave the sneak, or simply to spend time in God’s most beautiful country. I also have spent a lot of time around the Eastern Idaho area while attending college finishing my degree in Business Management, Marketing.
However, over the last 7 years I’ve met the industry head on as a professional guide in Utah for KR Hunting as well as assisting with Bucks and Bulls Outfitters early in my career. Both outfitters are based in central Utah. The clientele come from around the globe in pursuit of bull elk during the peak of the rut, or a big Muley for the hearth! In recent years I’ve also spent much of my time personally hunting and exploring outside of Utah in the great plains of Wyoming for mule deer and big antelope. It’s in the Great Basin near Burlington, WY where my grandfather and his father hunted to provide food and great family memories, which started a tradition that I’m proud to be a part of today.
When I’m not working or guiding in the fall, you’ll find me researching and using the latest gear to use on my next outdoor adventure. Needless to say, spending time with my beautiful family is my other greatest passion, namely my wife Lindsay and our two strapping boys who share my passion for the outdoors and the mysterious grip that it holds on sportsman alike. If I’m not with them you’ll find me somewhere in the mountains hunting, digiscoping, fishing, four wheeling, hiking, shooting, or watching some baseball and generally having a good time. Life’s to short to not, live it up everyday, and I just prefer to do it outside!
