My name is Dusty Bourasa and I live in Eastern Oregon. I was born in Carson City, Nevada on April 30th1973. I then moved to Oregon when I was 6 years old and have made this my home. I have hunted my whole life with my mother and father. We went on lots of trips hunting and fishing as I was growing up. My father passed away 3 years ago and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him. I miss him more than you can fathom but the knowledge that he passed on to me as I was growing up keeps my desire to pass it on to my children.I lived, ate, and slept for hunting and fishing or even just being in the great outdoors. I remember when I got my drivers license, I went all over the place hunting and fishing. I started guiding while I was still in high school for a local pheasant club. I also guided waterfowl hunters and then moved into big game. I still guide for big game, waterfowl and upland game birds here in eastern Oregon. I met my lovely wife 17 years ago and I am blessed with a wonderful family. If it were not for there support, I would not and could not do what I am so blessed to do today. It puts a lot of pressure on the home life do to being gone but we work through it and keep our faith and love and support.I have had the honor to travel and hunt the Northwest and even Alaska and Canada. In my travels I have also met many people that share the same passion as I and those people I give great thanks to because they also keep the drive going.My daughter Bo is 11 years old and she is my hunting buddy. She has taken 2 really nice does off of our farm under the Oregon Mentor Program. I also have a little boy named Jacob and he is 3 years old. I feel sorry for his mama because he is a spitting image of me and loves to do everything that I do. I can not wait until he gets to the age to go hunting with dad.In closing, I want to thank all of the people that have helped me get to were I am at.
