My name is Ron Gonzales. I am 40 years old and was born and raised in Arizona and have lived here my whole life. I love the desert! I currently live in Mesa (a suburb of Phoenix) with my girlfriend of 9 years, Kathleen. I am a father to a beautiful daughter, Alexis, and a grandfather to a beautiful grandson, Nathaniel. I am a Union Pipe Fitter. I work hard so I can play hard.
I was introduced into the world of Archery when I was 14 by my Step-Dad and have never stopped. I have been a PSE Pro Staff Shooter since 2000. I feel I am very fortunate to also be represented by Winner's Choice, Tru-Ball, Feather Vision, LimbSaver, Bohning, Mossy Oak, and now Black’s Creek.
I am a very active and avid hunter in Arizona. Due to the fact that Arizona is a difficult state to get drawn for several big game animals, I have also become an out of state hunter as well. I also am an avid bow fisherman and sports fisherman.
I used to shoot archery right-handed but due to a medical situation I lost the ability to shoot right-handed so I taught myself to shoot left-handed. I was very fortunate to shoot an Arizona Trophy Bull Elk right-handed but even more fortunate to have shot another Arizona Trophy Bull Elk left-handed. I’m proud to say that I am one of a very few that have accomplished this.
