Born in central Alberta I grew up on my parents cattle farm in the
Peace River region. Later elk were added on to the farm as well.
Growing up in the country we spent alot of time exposed to wildlife
and alot of time hiking and observing the animals in our area.
However, it was the skill I acquired working our ranch horses that got
me my first guiding job.

I started working for Big Nine Outfitters in northern BC in 2007. I
spent my first year up there working as a horse wrangler. Taking care
of the horses, accompanying the guides and learning how to skin and
cape an animal and pack the horses gave me the training I would need
to step out on my own as a guide the next year. I have since been
guiding for Big Nine for five years. I have had the opportunity to
guide elk, moose, caribou, goat, black bear, wolf and deer hunts for
them. My other BC hunting adventures have included working as an
assistant guide in southern BC, for Alana Ostrich, who guides cougar
hunts. I have also been given the opportunity to work on a whitetail
ranch in Texas and have worked for a bear hunting outfit in
SpiritRiver Alberta.

The longer I am in the guiding and outfitting business the more
passionate I become about it. I am looking forward to another awesome
season at Big Nine and hope to continue guiding for many years to
come.
