Hood River, OR
Being born in Hood River, OR right smack in the middle of the Northwest does not mean that you are born a hunter. My father was not a hunter but he did buy me a red rider bb gun. From then on I was hooked. There was one distraction that set me back some years though and that was football. It was not until I was 21 years old that I said enough of the pig skin and started spending my falls chasing bone instead of ball carriers. I’m now 29 years old and have been lucky enough to take some quality animals with my bow and a rifle. The last five years I have left home for the entire season leaving my beautiful and loving Fiance Kira behind. Every year she has just smiled and asked me to be safe before leaving. Three fall’s ago I purchased a video camera in hopes of catching my experience’s in the outdoors for everyone at home to see. I was lucky enough that year to meet some guys from Ridgeline Outdoors with the same goal. Soon after that I realized I wanted to try and make a living in the Outdoor Industry. It is not easy but I’m living with the approach that I have to be well rounded. Over the last two years I have filmed for the show Life at Table Mountain, Mathews TV and Blacks Creek TV. A close friend of mine told me that “The harder I work in this industry the more I will get out of it.” I have been living with that goal. Last year I left home August 1st and returned home only for two weeks all the way until christmas. This year I will do the same and my fall will be filled with hunting, filming, and guiding for Borderland Adventures. I have also teamed up with Trophy State of Mind TV. Hopefully my hard work will allow me to do the same every fall for years to come. Big thanks to everyone that has supported me and been there for me through this journey. I look forward to meeting new friends so if you see me anywhere be sure to say hi and swap some stories of the outdoors. Good luck to all this 2012 season!!!
